Tennessee Electric has a world class safety record. From the first day of employment, we stress the importance of working safely and living our culture. Employees receive on average 60 hours of safety training each year. All employees are required to meet our drug-free workplace policies. We believe a safe, drug-free workforce is a productive and responsible workforce. We have achieved over 6 million hours without a lost time injury. Safety is part of our culture and a responsibility for all of our employees.

Training—NCCER Assessment & Certification
Tennessee Electric has a company-sponsored skills training and progression development program. Employees are provided wage progression incentives to complete Contren® learning series skills modules through the NCCER. We certify our journeymen who have passed required testing and have demonstrated their knowledge in the field.
