Tennessee Electric and its TEC Industrial unit marked a major milestone in safety performance on September 20th. The Kingsport based construction and maintenance company has surpassed 1,000,000 continuous work hours without an OSHA recordable or lost time incident. In addition, the company marks the first year anniversary of TEC Industrial, the company's mechanical and electrical maintenance support services division, with zero OSHA recordable or lost time incidences since its inception. "Achieving a year of zero OHSA recordable incidences is a major accomplishment for our employees and represents world class performance in the industrial construction and maintenance industry" says Shannon Salts, Manager of Safety and Training.
In addition to achieving this record, Tennessee Electric has surpassed over 8,000,000 hours without a lost time incident. This accomplishment occurred over the last 22 years of business while working in the heavy industrial industry sector.
